Question Need Advice on what scan tool to buy?

I am in the market for a scanning tool to purchase for my 93Z and I'm looking for some advice? Does anyone have a preference on who makes a good scanning tool for a 93? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Tuff.

Before I got a FAST system I was running Diacom. You can see a demo at www.rinda.com

Some people like the Scanmaster but I find it limited....sure it is nice to slap in the a/c vent and watch it as you drive but who gives a **** what the 02 reading is at 100 mph, I'd be more concerned about what it is at 6000 rpm (top of third) vs 4400 (into 4th). Same goes for knock it saves the highest knock reading but displays it at what mph it occurred at

my friend recently bought a tech 3 scanner but it was quite the bit of money$$$$$$ but that was the top of the line and he did his car and all of ours if we needed to borrow it, you pretty much get what you pay for unless you find a gold mine somone is looking to sell cheap, so it all depends what you want a scanner to do for you

I'm happy with my EZ-Link Pro Pack from AutoXray I bought this one because of it's versatility. I can scan my 2000 Chrysler 300M, '94 Dodge Ram, '86 Fiero and '95 Firebird all with the same scanner. The scanner will record up to 29 seconds of data at 1/2sec to 5sec intervals along with real time monitoring. I also got the PC Link software with which I can download the data from the scanner to a PC and make Charts and Graphs

If you have more than one make of vehicle, or would like to be able to help out friends and family with their automobile related problems, this would be a good one to get.

You can usually find a good deal on one on eBay.
