Is this necessary??

hey everyone...I decided to start doing a little stuff to my car and everyone seems to think cai is probably one of the best mods to start with..I have a 96 Z28SS is there really a point in putting something like a k&n airfilter or moroso or slp on my car? I've heard some people say that it really isn't going to make that much of a difference, is this true? As you can tell I really don't know much about this sort of thing so I was hoping for a lot of input...And if i was going to do this which one is the best as far as performance and looks...thanks alot in advance

if your car it's an SS, you really don't need a CAIs
find a nice catback

I actually know a few SS owners who gave up their induction setup for a cold air intake and they still have the CAI to this point. I think Brent (Franker) has a K&N FIPK on his SS too.
If you decide to go with one, I'd recommend the SLP one. It looks nice and it's made by the guys who installed the SS options on your car.

But yes, as already suggested, I would personally start with a catback.
