I have that convertor. I have only put about 5 miles on it since install because there is snow on the ground. So far I'd say its the best mod I have made. I drove it before the roads were bad. it was like driving on ice. I need some sticky tires, the car launches hard and pulls great. plus it only cost me @480 shipped to my door.

Got the 2800 here with about 100 easy miles on it since I'm breaking the engine in at the same time but man is it fun!! Kinda feels like a manual Nice converter for the price, we'll see the longetivity of it soon I guess...

if I can come up with the money this is the converter I am going to get. looks like all the LS1 guys have nothing but good luck with them.and the 2 yr. warrt. that covers anything should take care of any problems. they are even giving a free stall change you just have to buy the part (why they call it free I dont know )

Well I ran slower than stock with mine... 14.2@101 but that is only because I need tires now. It definitely multiplied torque. I dynoed 270rwhp and 350 rwtq with basically headers, exhaust, cut-out, and a cut-out. Too much torque for my tires and not enough driver. I have put around 7000 miles on mine. Very Happy and John@HPA has great service.
I went with 3200 with a 2.1 stator

Hope that helps
Shawn

Midwest stall

I do not have the mods(yet) that your t/a has.but I have the Midwest 10 inch,2800 stall in my 93 z28 and it does great. the str is 2.5.I only have about 250rwh, but with Nittos on the launch spins them then grabs and your in the powerband. Havent done much at higher sppeds so I cant speak on that. When my rwh picks up, it will be even more fun.Couldnt even have stock tires on.My best mod so far, I also had a b+m tranny cooler, and 1le mount put in. cost was 489.00 shipped to my door. The weight is 35 lbs compared to 49 lbs. for the stock converter. My stocker stalled at 1700, this one will flash about 3000.Hope this helped. Pickerman

well I got my stall in last night and took it for a test drive today first off lets just say I love the drag laucnh springs and caint wait untill I get my slicks on and stall it up for a hard launch. does great in town and on the interstate. I dont really know what it will do from a stop spins too bad(acutally I havent even smashed it yet from a stop) but with alot of feathing the gas untill it gets into 2nd then I can go to WOT and all I can say is P.S. if any one from the Huntington area needs a trans rebuilt. B&P Transmissions is where its at... my 3rd gear shifts and quick and firm now

I just got the HPA stage 1 tranny along with the Midwest 2800 2.5str converter about 100 miles ago. Great Trans and Converter, I havent been able to stall it up and launch full throttle yet because im currently on bald BFG drag radials and they just wont hold. About to get a set of ET streets for the track and then we will see how the leaves.
