nasty backfire....

where do i start i need to find out what is causing this?

i did a motor swap a 94 motor into a 95 ta all new sensors and electrical parts, i have a nasty back fire at low rpm's and not alot of power. Could it be that my rockers need to be adjusted? they sound loud. i know i was stupid and did not take off the valve covers before i put the motor in the car. could it be timing?
i need help.

thanks
brad

also while the swap was in progress i put hooker longtubes on and got rid of the eger and A.I.R pump. i got my pcm tuned by pcm's for less i am open to all sugestons

Make sure your wires are going to the correct place on the OPTI..If 2 wires are swapped it will cause a nice lil backfire
