Talking Name that noise

Its frigging hot here in arizona so when i turn my a/c on there is a weird ticking noise that comes on with it. It sounds like it is the heater core but after a while I turn the A/C off and on again and it is gone?? Its annoying and its nothing in the golve box rattling around. Anyone have any ideas??

Does the noise change pitch or rate of clicking as you change fan speeds. Might be in the blower motor. Just a guess.

Gets faster as the speed increases. So when at low it is low ticking and when the a/c **** is turned its increases in ticks

It is probably just your condenser kicking in

Don't you mean compressor? I thought that too but if the noise changes as you change fan speeds, it is definitely the motor or something in there. Try running just the fan w/o the ac on and see if it still makes the noise. If it does, you'll know it's something to do with the blower motor.

AC DELCO 15-8760 $121.78 @ carparts.com. I bet you can find it cheaper if you do a little searching tho. I wouldn't run out and buy one just yet. Pull the old one out and see if something came loose in there.
