N2O for LT1...

I saw a NOS 5100 kit for EFI applications. Anyone know about this kit? I asked in the N2O forum but got only 2 replies. Was wondering if anyone here might know. It is a Universal EFI DRY kit with bottle, lines, solenoids, switches. New in box for $250. Is this a good price? Thanks for any info.

Re: N2O for LT1...

I've never seen an NOS 5100 universal kit. For it to work on the LT1, it would need the dual nitrous solenoids with the blue pressure regulator that "tees" in between them. This is the source of the the pressure signal that gets applied to the LT1 fuel pressure regulator, to raise the fuel pressure, and supply the extra fuel that is required when you spray. Without those parts, the system wouldn't be too useful. For anything over maybe 75HP, you would also want the inline booster fuel pump. All these components are included in the 5176 kit, which is specifically made for the LT1.

The reason the 5176 kit is expensive is because it includes the pump.

Where did you find this kit for 250? I'm curious?
