My True Duals run out the Back.
I just got my exhaust done. Jet Hot long tubes, into an x-pipe that crosses through my spohn torque arm, then into two bullet mufflers, then both pipes run over the axle, and out the back. Sweet set-up that sounds awesome, not too loud but a very nice rumble. I have pics, but don't know how to post them so if anyone wants to see them and can help me out please let me know. Thanks

Mad props for taking them over the axle! How much did that cost? where did you get them done? You have any capability to make a soundclip?

I'd definately like more information on those...what diameter tubing was used and was it all mandel bent?
Sound clips are a must, and did you have any regrets or things you would have done if you change anything?
How much was your set up? A Local muffler shop did the work I am guessing? Also what should I tell the guys at my shop so they can get it over the axle of my Z?

Well I guess my post was somewhat confusing, I edited it, but I dont have true duals (but want them), I am just gathering details about them. I would prefer out the back so the crosswind doesnt bring fumes in my windows at stoplights. Just want to know what to tell my local shop when I get mine done...hope that helps...

Here is my info on them. I started with Jet Hot Headers and then reducers to 2 1/2 inch. Then the shop ran each side to a mandrel bent x-pipe which crossed through the torque arm. After that run into two bullet mufflers and up over the axle and then into the tips. It took 1 1/2 hours for the shop to complete. The piping is 2 1/2 inch but the shop said that they could have done 3 inch but no more. The ground clearance for everything is just as good as stock. Prices were

Tubing and Labor $180
Tips $80
They put three hangers on the system so there are no rattles and both tubes were welded together at some points to keep everything tight. I would have not done anything different. I think I answered everything, if you want more info just ask, I won't be around a computer on the weekend so just be patient. Also, I had cats to put on and they would have fit just fine right after the headers, but I am emissions exempt so I decided to opt out of those. Randy

100 for muffler shop labor
200 for mufflers and tubing...single chamber flows

That is a very well done setup. I am impressed. I have always thought that true duals look sloppy and out of place, but you and your muffler shop have done a great job. I like how the x-pipe goes through the torque arm. Very slick.
i like the way yours looks...initially i wanted the exhaust to exit out the side...and once i realized i wouldnt have enough ground clearance...i got rid of the 90* bends i had and did turn downs...so ive still got those bends and the tips i was gonna use...so if u count that money i saved i ended up about $100 less...but ide rather have it out the back like urs instead of that $100...but no muffler shop was willing to do that except one, who wanted $500...so...im happy with it considering my options
Where in Pa are you or the shop you went to located (furely) Name of shop? That is a great price... I got to school in Youngstown,OH and when I get them done I think I'll wonder over to that place you went to...Thanks Again
