well i tried to figure out what the ticking was, and i could not figure it out...

so for some reason it went away, and it was gone for a good 1-2 weeks and now it is back....

you think it could be cause of the cold weather we just got or what?

i checked out the rockers to see if they were loose and not one was...I have new lifters in the car...umm it is on the passenger side valve cover and its comming from there....


and it sounds like TICK, TICK, TICK, and actually it ticks faster when i ease on the throttle!!

n e ideas?

P.S. i still havent checked out the header gasket, but i dunno if that could be it.....mabe that might be..

Exhaust leak or loose spark plug would be my first guesses.

 

checked out spark plugs also....

im going to go get a new gasket and get allen wrench bolts for my headers, cause they are soo DAMN hard to get out on the passenger side!

 

Check your injectors and rockers also.

 

yo that happened to me to and I gave the car a tune up and that ticking noise went away.
