My Pacesetter LT Install guide.

I'm not saying this is the only way to do it but it was damn easy.

Remove alternator on the passenger side. Remove oil filter and steering linkage on drivers side.

Loosen both motor mount thru bolts. Decide which side you want to tackle first and take that bolt all the way out, making sure the other side is still in, but loose. The header will slide right in on each side once the motor is jacked up enough. Lower that side back down and put the motor mount bolt back in. Repeat process for other side.

Both sides can be tighten with ease using a 3/8s boxed and open end wrench. I went back with a ratchet and 3/8s socket to tighten up the ones I could get to.

Any questions?

Total time for installation of headers and plugs/wires was 6 hours with a break.

Did you actually physically rotate the engine? thats what it sounded like. If so, do you need an engine stand or anything like that? What about EGR? do the pacesetter's come with attachments or do you need EGR plates?

I don't know what you mean by "rotating the engine". You leave one motor mount bolt in and put a jack with a piece of wood under the oilpan. This naturally raises the engine on the side that you took the motor mount bolt out of, giving you lots more room.

My headers came without emissions so I can't help you there.

you forgot to mention bend the AC line. but not too much cuase it will snap ..... did that

I did it pretty much the same way you did it. But alot of people said they slide RIGHT in from the bottom with ease. Personally, i couldn't get my car high enough to do that. I'm sure i could have if i really tryed, but it wasn't that bad getting them in from the top

Forgot about the AC line. That was easy. Used vise grips and takes all of about 5 seconds. I found out the pass. side would go in from the bottom when i was trying to install the header from the top on my own and i dropped it and it slid all the way out under the car. No way in hell the drivers side was going in from the bottom though. They both went in smooth as butter from the top for me.

2 things to add. HOOK UP EGR BEFORE BOLTING HEADER ON!!!!!! I thought they went in easier from the bottom. if dont hook up the egr prior to install it isnt going in. If u make the fateful mistake i did, then rtv becomes your best friend. I forced the thing in there and then used half a tube of red rtv, and so far so good. -Michael
