Is my Opti Done? Have picture...

Hey guys...I took off my water pump(after draining most of what I thought was the coolant in the block) but apparently it wasn't enough. When I broke the seal from the water pump and the block coolant kinda streamed down the sides of the very back of where the Opti Spark is mounted, right along the engine block...and I did have a towel covering most of the Opti(and it ended up getting saturated)...do you think my Opti got wet?

I didn't appear to get wet on any of the top parts or sides of the yellow part but I don't know exactly where it connects and if running along the very back of where it mounts to the engine is alright or not...

Heres a pic with some lines referring to where it flowed(just try to picture it w/out some of the hoses that the line goes through).

One of the black parts of the wire had a tiny puddle on the top of it(from where it may have splashed a little) but I didn't see anything on the Opti...i'm just kinda worried right now...gotta wait till Saturday before I can put the water pump back on.

Thanks guys.

That's what the back of the Opti looks like. Just let it dry out and hope for the best.

Only time will tell, Dont you think you engine looks a little dirty? I'd be embarressed if I was you (just kidding). If you start throwing any codes I have a snap-on mt2500 scanner that we can throw on it if you feel like driving to Plantation.

Heh, yeah it's a '93 that i bought a year ago...I haven't really had much time to go in there and clean it out .

Thanks for the advice guys, it is much appreciated. When I get everything back together and on i'll let you know what happens.

And thanks for the offer magman, i'll PM you if I do start throwing codes.

Thanks guys,

~Kevin

i DONT THINK that got to your optispark, Internally anyway. When I did mine the exact thing happened......and my optispark was unharmed.
