I think the transmission is going out though. The 1-2 shift takes forever and you can hear it tap the limiter right before it shifts into 2nd gear.

Nice run. You got a 12.56 without a stall converter in your A4. Very impressive.

I have never ran my car but the guy I bought it from said his best was a 13.4 and I am thinkin that he might have ran it on a bad track or something. I was thinkin that I should be running around a 13.0-13.2. This summer I will be installing a cam and upgradeing to long tubes so I hope to be running low twelves. The cam is going to be an XR227 or an XE227.

I would think they did, but I thought I would have cut a better 60' that I did. It was a 1.862 dead hooking. With 3.23's and goodyear gsd3's I cut a 1.917 with no tire spin easing into the throttle. I'm probably going to change the tranny fluid and have brian check out my tune to see if anything is wronge with it and head back out once it gets cold here and hit some 12.4's-12.3's.

Re: My new best at the track (vid)

My 93 Caprice's 4L60 has shifted the 1-2 like that since I got it at 113k. Haven't done a fluid change since and it still shifts like that at 206k. I suppose having a weak stock L05 might help it live longer. The odd thing is, when the fluid is cold, the 1-2, especially at part throttle, is VERY crisp. Almost too crisp. As in, break the tires loose on wet pavement...oh well.

I would have your shiftpoints looked at. My car would shift like that , then once I got the shiftpoints fixed it went away.

I have a PCM for less tune and when I first got it it was shifting at 5800 every shift in every gear. I thought that was too early to shift anyway, and it just kept gradualy shifting later and later and I really didnt think anything of it until it started hitting the limiter. It doesn't always do it though. It has only done it a total of 4 times, and 2 of them were at the track, it did it both runs.
