My LE1 1/4 times ..

hey guys, mods in sig, these times were run on 10.5 et streets and a mad z28 tune. just ran last night, could be better i guess. i was launching at like 4000-4500 rpms and the car would jump like crazy, then bog down, only allowing me a best of 1.9 60ft. and it would occasionaly have a bog in 3rd gear as well?? i guess a dyno tune will help that?

13.1 @ 110 mph
13.0 @ 109 mph
12.83 @ 109 mph
12.94 @ 109 mph

i was almost for sure that it would run like 12.0-12.3, butt it didn't...
i was thinking next thing would be 3:73 gears ( hopefully to get my 60 ft down to like 1.7 ) and a dyno tune. u guys think i could hit my goal then?
thanks
-Jason

Yeah whata was the weather? I would have expected very low 12's judging by the other cars with it.

Re: My LE1 1/4 times ..

thats what i'm thinking, i was hoping for like 385-400 rwhp, by the numbers don't think i will hit that. i'm not complaining, i thought it was gonna be quicker. i just know alot of people on here are interested in alot of Lloyd and Joe's #'s. i think a dyno tune will do a ton for the car...and learning how to pull those 1.6's and 1.7's

You'll know when your at 385-400rwhp because you be pulling 116-118mph traps.

Just for reference I've run 12.94 at 112mph on street tires(2.18 60') with a set of Lloyds heads and a hot cam. I think you need tuning. Were you logging your runs?

Re: My LE1 1/4 times ..

theres something not right. you should be in the mid low 12's easy, you need to log some runs and post them, im goingto say your around 330 rwhp maybe.

a person a the board name darkhorse has got a smaller cam and stock un touched heads and 3.73s and he just cut a 12.99 last week. something is not right.

auto or stick ???

not trying to put you down, but it just dont seem right.

i know one thing joes cams like aot of timing and i mean alot.

He means to use Datamaster or a different data logging software and record what your sensors are reading like o2's, TPS, Knock Count, all that good stuff.

Did you have your Borla wide open? In not pull whatever plate you are running and run it wide open. You are holding back about 20 HP on a H&C car with it closed.

How did you adjust those rockers. 1/16 turn past zero lash? Any more than that and you have to much preload on the Comp R lifters.

Hey make sure your floor mat is out of the way as well.........**** happens you know.

Re: My LE1 1/4 times ..

What were you shifting at? And I assume you're trying to run some ET Streets w/ a 3.42 rear end? That'll hurt you a little since they don't seem to be biting like they should for ya. If you're gonna be on the 3.42's, maybe see if someone has a set of BFG DR's you can borrow or something. I bet you'd be suprised w/ them .

FWIW, I'm just about done w/ a LE2 cam install of my own (home ported heads though). Plan on dynoing saturday then maybe hit up the track on sunday. Or will wait till Labor Day w/e . I'm interested to see how it'll tote around a 3750# car.

Re: My LE1 1/4 times ..

yes borla was wide open and i'm pretty sure the rockers were adjusted just slightly after they pushed the lifter , ( watched my dad do it )
i'm gonna try to get this thing dyno tuned in the next 2-3 weeks and we'll see how that works out. shifting at about 6200 or so.
