I recently had 3.73 gears and a full exhaust installed (1 5/8 BBK with 2.5 inch Y and 3 inch cat and cat back.)

I installed the hypertech programming to fix speedo gear problem and it did not work. My car is reading the wrong MPH by a lot! It says I am going 90 or 100 at 65 or so etc.

Also since installing it my trans has been locking into second gear when I try to take off fast at near WOT or WOT. I let off the gas to try to make it shift and wiggle the shifter and it holds in second! It is very very SHI**Y!

I am going to try uninstalling and reinstalling without adding any trans changes (MPH at WOT or firmness)

Has anyone had a similar problem or any different problems?

 

install the gears which the hpp provides then say yes when it asks you for transmission dont touch it and for tuning press no also for tire correction hit the right size you have on there should be no prob

 

I am goign to go try this and test it and get back on here ina few hours. Thanks guys and if this doesn't work I am going to be REALLY FRUSTERATED

 

Make sure you select the correct tire size. I believe it gives you selection by increments of 1/4 inch.

I have mine set at 25.00 and the speedo still reads about 2 maybe 3 mph fast.

 

I am going to re-measure because I have 25.75 in there now and I did have 26 and neither works at all. Both are just as bad and the MPH are 25 mph to fast if not more. I just don't know how fast I am going but in a way it is okay because I get scared and probably go slower. I will post when I get the measurements. Any more experiences? thanks guys
