Is my frame bent ? (pic inside) .. car is lopsided
Picture
the car has been lopsided for a while now ... and its been getting slowly worse every year ... the right side is sitting about 3/4" - 1" lower than the left
i used to have eibach sportlines with decarbons ..
then i put on stock springs on the back with decarbons ..
then i got my hals and put the rear shocks in .. still lopsided
so it cant be the rear suspension .. i've went thru almost all shock/spring combinations
the fronts still have eibach sportlines with 4 year old decarbons (pretty dead shocks) thats next on my list to do as i have my hal spring / shock sittin here now
car is going for a cage on tuesday, a friend mentioned that my cars frame is probably bent and i should have it checked before i have the cage put on
the car HAD been in a wreck before i bought it .. it was fixed by the insurance corporation and they make sure everything is properly fixed before the sign off the car ..
and ideas ?!

There have been numerous threads about this.
Anyway, no. MOST of the 4th gens are exactly like that.
Mine is too, I've replaced shocks, springs, and every bushing under the car to no avail.
Someone put it like this, how many pics have you seen of people racing with one wheel up in the air and one on the ground.
It's completely normal.

and its NOT normal for a car to sit 1" lower .. 3/8" of an inch is normal
and when u see a car with 1 wheel in the air .. thats because their rear suspension isnt setup right .. with an airbag, or a 25mm drag racing rear sway bar that would not happen to them ... i bet u their car sits normally on the ground unlike mine

My '95 sits significantly lower on the right side.... I dunno why. I guess you could shim it up if you really wanted to.
Most of them get closer to level when you go w/ aftermarket stuff. Not to mention when you get in the car, on the left side, it probably is even then.

I got Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks and my passenger side sits lower then the driver side but nowhere near as noticeable as yours. The only way you can tell is if you look at the difference in the gap, but on your car you can tell just by lookin at it. Definitely not normal. Even when my car was stock it wasn't like that.

My car also sits about a inch lower on the right side. I took it to the dealership and had them check it out. They ended up telling me they couldn't find nothing wrong with it and they had checked other firebirds on the lot and they sat the same way. This was about two years ago when they had numerous f-bodies on the lot
There is also excessive wear on my right tire to. It seems to go bold faster then the left front tire.
What to do about this?
