a couple days ago, driving the car around, i went to nail it and the car backfired and my rpms went al over the place and then died. Pulled over and checked things, got back in, started right up. Drove it for about a block, nailed it agian. got to about 3 k... did the same thing, cut out big time. Got to my friends house the car would not start agian for its life. just turned over. Finally got it running but i had to keep it to the floor just to keep it idle and it backfired agian.

The next morning i go with my friend to get it towed, it starts right up.. drove it nice and easy back to my house and it ran PERFECT. I even nailed it right before i got home and it ran great. Get it home, try and start it and noithing.. just turns over and over.

2 days later, here i am trying to find out what the deal is. I had a fuel pressure guage on the car at all time and pressure is good. I got it to start once today out of 10 tries and it idled ok but still weak and then stalled. wouldnt start agian. But this is the wierd thing. pushing the key forward, you can hear the pump prime. but after that, the car will actually prime it self once or 2 more times without tocuhing a thing. I dont think this is usual. i tried a new coil, no help. So im thinking electrcal connection on the fuel system??? need any input from you guys out there... thanks.
