My car wont start!

its been sitting in my garage for like a year and of course the battery is out of energy so i used jumpers but all i hear are clicking sound but the engine isnt turning. what can i do? ty
its a 94 z28 m6

put a new battery in it. The battery is probably just that dead.

I agree. Or, you have a loose connection.

ty for the advice. is there anything i should do , like change all fluids etc?
im trying to sell the car and i want it to be in great shape.

Personally, I would at least drain the engine oil & refill if it's been sitting for awhile. My car sat for over six years and I changed all of the fluids in the car before even trying to get it running.

update!! so i got it to turn on and it stayed alive by its own after taking the cables off but after like 20min i turn on the head lights and it died
does this mean that the baterry is dead and wont hold the charge?

Tough call. Could be the alternator or the battery (or both). Autozone can check both for you.
