My car is a turd (bad dyno warning)

These are the best crappy pics of the dyno sheet till I can get to a scanner. As you can see it's running really rich and my tq converter doesnt lock up. Even with a better tune I still feel it's not going to make any power. Where should I really be on motor?

Try a new tq converter for starters.

What's wrong with the torque converter? It's a Yank 3500.

It's crazy. I'm almost sure it's the tune but it was my first. Im going to do all I can to work with my tuner and hopefully we can fix this. It's just heartbreaking when youre hoping for high 300's and dont even break 300's.

You have some problems that need taking care of. Def. some ignition issues and possibly some lash issues to take care of.

But keep in mind...dyno numbers mean JACK Sh*t for auto cars with good size stalls. How does the car run? What are your track numbers looking like? I have seen cars dyno 470rwhp that get their *** handed to them by big stall autos making mid 300s.

Sort out your problems before getting disenchanted and remember that dynos are for tuning not racing.

did you degree the cam???????, You need to getthe tune right but i am suspecting you have te cam a tooth off. I have seen a couple similar set ups to yours where the cam was installed one tooth of and they where way down on power. If the cam was instaled using the dots I would start thinking about removing the front of the motor.

I'm starting to think the KS also played a part in this it's the stock 1994 lt1 ks. That and the fact I'm pig rich, and Im 800 metres above sea level which causes around an 8% loss in engine power due to the low air density.

Im not trying to be a dyno queen but I got on the dyno hoping that the seat of my pants dyno was accurate and it wasnt. The engine runs wonderfully except for the strong oder of fuel. Not to mention it feels like a high 12 car easy.

What's the easiest way to ensure it was installed correctly?

I will second that dyno numbers dont mean to much on an auto. Just get it to the track.

as for the ks, the stock one isnt that much worse, but was it decensitized by the tuner? If not it will be pulling a bunch of timing.

Comeing from a guy who lives on the dyno..

You have a ignition problem. These jagged peaks are telling you that you don't have smooth consistant spark. The AFR is skewed because of this and your likely seeing quite a bit of afterburning.

That just doesnt sound right. What exactly are you saying? If the ignition was bad would I see that during normal driving? The car drives fine, sounds fine, etc. Accept for the stinch of fuel everything is good. How do I test the ignition? Also what is afterburning?
