We had a very heavy downpour and there was about six inches of water on the road in some spots. I went about 20 through the puddles and it stalled. The second time I didnt think it was gonna start. I waited a few minutes and it finally did. I'll never understand why they put a distributor on the bottom of the engine. Or even why they were still using distributors in 95. From 87 on the cutlass cierra had coilpacks. Why gm why

 

So if I replaced the opti would I still have this problem? It runs fine any other time. Unless its hot and I floor it from a dead stop. Then theres a bit of hesitation.

 

opti.. mine did that crap.. i did plugs wires and opti and waterpump... cleared right up
