My car is F'ed up! PLZ HELP

At first i thought it was an exhaust leak because of the noise its making but i find it hard to believe that a leak can cause this many problems. It has a huge loss of power, rough idle sometimes, and the tapping noise. The noise only occurs when good amount of gas is applied. But if i just let it coast from about 4k the noise is gone. I have a sound clip of it if someone will host it.

An exhaust leak can cause a lot of problems . Its not the leak thats hurting the power really, it the o2 sensors seeing outside air in the exhaust so it adjusts the fuel and theres where your power loss occurs. You can just grab a broom and put your ear to the wooden part and touch the engine with it and see where the ticking is coming from (Thanks Timberwolf). Or a mechanics stefascope (sp?) would work.

How does your fuel pump sound when you turn your car on the acc. position? I had a friend who had their fuel pump go and everytime they turned, their car would almost die. Maybe you should replace your fuel filter and see if that helps. maybe you also have an exhaust leak at the same time as this?

I hate to sound pessimistic, but that sounds just like what my old 85 Berlinetta did before I passed her off to an old "tote the note lot" for $700. How is the oil pressure/level? For me the tapping was a baring about to take a dump and the loss off power and bogging down really bad when I turned the wheel at low RPM's was shot rings and pistons that caused a loss of compression. I hated parking in a tight place too many turns ! I could be wrong I tend to always expect the worst. The GM Opti Spark has made me paranoid lol!
