last night at the track i was running and my car just quit and then it started back and died again, after letting it set for about 2 hrs it started back up,(so i knew it wasnt something wrong with the motor), but after about 3 miles it died again, so i went and got my car today and it will run for a few minutes and then die off, it will crank over but it wont run unless i let it cool off for a couple of hours, can anyone please tell me whats wrong with my car

 

I'm thinking a bad ignition control module. Its pretty much the only vital sensor I can think of that is close enough to the combustion chambers that they would need a few hours to cool off and is neccisary for the engine to run.
