My A/C system is screwed up....
Well, for about 2 monthes now, my air conditioner has been not getting as cold as it used to get. Then, while @ idle, I would notice that the compressor would kick on and off every 2 minutes or so. So, I bought a can of R-134a, and a can of the red dye leak detection, and charged the system through the top metal tube, the one near the accumulator. I had it running while I did it with it on MAX, and it got steadily colder as I charged it. Everything was going fine then I noticed what looked like smoke coming out of the compressor seal near where the serpentine belt goes around the clutch of it. Not good...then the damn thing started to kick on and off like every 20 seconds and to top it off, it bugs the $hit out of me, because while I'm driving, it seems like a stutter, but it's actually just the compressor kicking on and off, which in turn is putting a strain on and off my engine each time it does so.
Bottom line, so, do I need I new compressor, and accumulator?
If so, what does this usually cost, and is it something I can do my self, it looks like it's gonna be a real bitsh, caus the compressor is so low in the engine compartment.
Thanks in advance fellas....

I got a new A/C Delco compressor off eBay for $220, but they go for up to $300-400 elsewhere.
