My 95 Trans Am has OBDII?
My 95 Trans Am has OBDII?
I went to AAP today to scan my pcm to find that the connection was for an OBDII fitting. I am confused. I thought OBDII didn't start until 1996. Also, I got my pcm from a 94 z28? What the heck is going on here?
Re: My 95 Trans Am has OBDII?
To clarify.
All 94 Fbodies are OBD1
All 95 Fbodies are OBD1 BUT use a OBD2 port
All 96 and up Fbodies are OBD2
your 95 isnt a freak job or anything its just built differently lol. Dont be alarmed your 94 PCM will work jsut fine also.

95/96 was a lil change year for f-bodies. If I remember correctly, even the 02 sensors were changed from a flat connector to a square connector?

TransAm9585 has the right info, but it should be clarified to say
95 LT1 f-bodies...
If you have a California emissions equipped car, it will have RPO code
NB6. It still won't matter. If it is a 1995 LT1 in an f-body, it's OBD-I.
