my 224/230 passed emissions!

my 224/230 at 112 passed emissions. Just got back from the gas station. I live in massachusetts. Just wanted to post this incase anyone had worries about buying this cam. I passed. I have a 95 m6, jet hot longtube headers, and a carsound cat at the end of each collector. I think this might have helped. I also got a mail order tune from madz28.com.

Thats good to know that cam will pass because I'm running stock cam with long tubes. I'm due for inspection in a few months. Do you have any pics of how your cats are set up? Right now I have a mini highflow cat after my ypipe, but I know this is not enough because the exhaust makes your eyes water a little. Your also only a couple towns over from me.

I guess I'm lucky not to have emissions here, I would DIE at testing.

Congrats. I'm sure having the dual cats and a decent tune helped as well.

Can you guys post the results of the emission test? I'm curious to see where these set-ups ended up in measured ppm. Thanks.

What were your numbers?

Did they run it on the rollers (1000 & 3000 RPM)?
Or did they use the IM240?

I live in mass. I didn't want to have it installed than have to take it out.

That's the cam I wanted to get.

here are my results

******************************reading******limit
hc grams per mile**************00.56*********01.20
CO grams per mile**************001.33*******020.00
NOx grams per mile*************00.35********02.50
CO2 grams per mile*************509.33********NA

This test is done with hoses on the tail pipes and the car on rollers. I believe they take the car up to 30mph. I'm only guessing though because all i can do is watch it happen

I'm going to try and find my slip from before the cam/exaust/cats i believe that i might have done better after...wierd

I'm happy i passed but just because i passed doesn't mean you will. If it is your ride to work you might want to think about a cam..I was freaking out about this

Looking at the results -

Bigger Cam + New Cats = Cleaner Running Car

Nice job!!! Is that a COMP 503 your running? I gotta deal with emissions, but I also got "connections".

Those are great numbers! And that is on a stock block, not a 383 right? Wow.
