MSD Digital

Does anyone know about the MSD digital box, does it work well with the LT1's. I found a few on ebay and not sure if i should pick one up. I mostly see everyone choose the 6al
Peace

if you can get it to hook up with your LT1, go for it. Its a sweet *** box and has a retard function for nitrous use built in. Better than the 6AL in my book.

Well its goin for 275 on ebay, dont know how much it is regular price. Is it really worth it though. I dont see me using nitrous, unless i find a kit at a good price. If anything nitrous will be the last thing on my list. Other then the nitrous, is the sparking better then a msd 6 or 6al. Will i be able to use the normal wires u buy for the 6al.
Peace

if you dont plan on using juice, than stick to the 6AL. 275 sounds like retail price to me. Wires can be used on either box, dont matter. The 6AL and DIGI 6 are pretty much the same box except digital is more cooler looking and plays a major role with nitrous use.

Works fine on LT1. Spark energy is going to be the same from 6al and Dig6.
It is the box to get for nitrous application, other than that you are paying extra for cool factor. Your choice. Mike

I've got a D6 on my car. Comes w/ built-in rev limiter, two-step and nitrous retard. Very nice box. I got mine for a decent price and for the built-in two-step.

It's slightly wider, but shorter than the 6AL boxes. I believe it can also be mounted upside down(unlike the 6As.

Well it just seemed like a pretty cool piece and thought it would be better then the MSD 6al but from talkin to others i wont even be needing an MSD at all. But thanks for all the responses

The MSD D6+ definitely looks kool under the hood, but like the MSD6a, looks is about all it will do for you unless you have juice or a blower. The 96+ ignition systems are pretty decent.
