MSD coil

Will replacing the stock coil with an MSD coil help improve gas mileage? Will it also eliminate some of the popping heard during shifts when the car is cold?

umm only if your stock coil is messed up

If your car runs and starts fine, then your coil is probably ok, and gettin a new coil wont fix the problems u are having. It sounds like maybe u need a wire/plug change.

a bad coil could cause a miss. the miss is usually in the higher rpm range. just to warn you, many people have problems with msd coils. actually, i was told that some members on here called msd about a coil and the staff at msd recommended getting an accel coil. do a search for "coil" and you will probally find what your looking for.
