MSD BTM Ignition question

Hey I just have a quick question. Has anyone hooked up a MSD BTM box on a NA setup? I am planning on going with a SC with bigger injectors and a pcm tune later down the road. So, eventually I will need a box with ignition retard. But, I want ignition now. I don't know how this hooks up. It seems to me I could use the igniiton and it would be fine. Is this right? Would I hook up the workings for the timing retard, or just leave them out until I get the SC?

Thanks guys

if i was you i would just hook up the box now that way everything is ready to go together when you get the s/c. i really dont think it would hurt anything but if you retard the timing while n/a it will obviously hurt performance.

I run the btm on a n/a motor, had a blower but not any more. You don't have to worry about it retarding timeing because the only time it does that is under boost which is picked up by the vacuum fitting on the box. so even if you have the **** turned all the way to the 3 degrees for every pound of boost it wont retard any timeing unless there is boost. hope this helps

later nate

Cool. So I could go ahead and hook up and mount the retard control?

Just add boost later.

Thanks
