I mounted mine right behind the relay box on the hump. A friend lost my digital camera so no pics yet. But the rubber silencers wouldn't fit and the hood still close so I put two layers of arm-o-flex tape on the back and bam. Covered all the wires with black tubing and it looks great now.

Mine is on the shock tower; it's a real tight fit though. You can see the imprint of the top of the box on the hood insulation. Hood closes without any problem.

Does it get wet back there?

I remember when I my MAF Translator, I had my Translator mounted there and it would always get wet during heavy down pours and cause problems. My hood does have all the seals on it too by the vents. Do you have any problems with you MSD box getting wet and causing problems when its back there?

Thx for any input,
Claude

Never gets wet. The coil is right beside the box. Not very far to run your wires.

Pic of mine. (it looks confusing in the picture, but it's mounted right on top of the plastic triangular piece that's underneath the K&N filter.

Re: MSD box.. Where did you mount yours?

I dont know why I always want to do things different than everyone else but I have been thinking of using that wall underneath the ABS unit and use a metal sheet as heat shield to divert any direct air from the Radiator fan. Has anyone done this before?

I also thought of using the empty space inside the Front bumper cover and just route the wires out. Looks like its just a few clips removal and plenty of space there... any one done this?? I may even put it inside the cabin on either the driver or the passenger side... Heck there is plenty of space behing the area that hold the cigarret lighter...(I remember) I want my car to look and sound as stock as possible... except for the exhaust. One day I will have enough money to slap a Nice catback with long tube headers.

I dont really wanna show off my MSD6A. I do however wanna be able to use the multiple spark to lean out the idle and midd throttle a bit for city driving.. and use whatever air/fuel mix that will give the max power at WOT/PE mode then leave it at that.

Has anyone else used strange locations for the MSD boxes?? I have an MSD6a just sitting here on my room all hooked up to the harness and no idea where to hide it at.

Anyone else?? more pics?? I could use the space below the OEM air cleaner but since I will ge getting a CAI I need to make sure I have plenty of room there for now.

Marvin
