MSD box users

how many of you guys have it mounted under the hood. My friend told me that you shouldent mount it under the hood because it dosent like dust or water...... I no i a few that have it under the hood ..... just wana see what u guys think

Mine is mounted under the hood on the driver's side inner fenderwell....been ther for 2 years, so far, so good...

Under the hood is fine. You're not supposed to mount them upside down. That's when water becomes a problem cause it can't drain out of the box when it's mounted that way.

I've used most of MSD's line of boxes. Currently using a 6BTM box.

You also don't want to mount it in an enclosed location where it cannot have air circulation.

Mine's under the hood where the stock fuse box sits and gets soaked every time it rains or I wash it. And I don't park under a cover either. Been on my car 6 years.
