Msd Blaster Coil for Obd2 Cars

I just wanted to get a few opinions on the Msd Blaster Coil for 95-97 Lt1s. I've heard a few opinions from people saying that it doesn't make that much of a difference on Obd2 cars because the stock coil works pretty good. But it does make a difference on Obd1 cars. I also heard that Msd is coming out with a Opti for Lt1s. Anyone heard anything about this yet?

No SOTP difference with my MSD coil. You are right, the stocker on OBD II cars works well.

About the opti, I heard about that, but I am very curious to see if they really are.

Re: Msd Blaster Coil for Obd2 Cars

I put one on my car, and I think it is part of the reason my car just ate another opti. I replaced the opti and coil at the same time, and now, ~10K later, the opti is DEAD, so dead the car will barely idle and will NOT run if you touch the gas. I'm thinking the voltage increase from the MSD coil just burns the high-voltage section of the Opticrap out faster.

Time for a Delteq W/MSD coils setup...

I just don't susbscribe to that theory. I have been running a Blaster for years without any problems. I even took the opti apart to look at it and saw no unusual burning of any terminals.
