Mounting Y-Pipe?

I have my y-pipe fitted in after my longtubes but the mounting holes dont line up w/ the stock oem mounts, do i even have to mount the y-pipe, it seems pretty solid off the headers and once i get my cat back in it should be fine? How did you guys do this??

Not exactly sure what your problem is, but the Y-pipes off of LT's usually run the end of the y right into the driveshaft tunnel. If you are thinking that the catback will bolt right up you are mistaken. You'll have to cut and weld/clamp your catback. Is that what you are trying to figure out?

where the cat back bolts to those two holes up by the tail end of the transmission, that is where the back of my y-pipe is supposed to bolt up to but the holes are off by a little over an inch or so.

Re: Mounting Y-Pipe?

Was it custom made? If so it sounds like a workmanship problem.

Well I dont know anything about pacesetter's Y-pipe and how it works or is designed. If someone with pacesetter's could chime in that would be best.

I have the same problem with mine. I left it hang for a while but its starting to rattle on the tunnel support. I'm just gonna have the muffler shop put a couple hangers on it.
