Mounting DMH Cutout Switch

I'm now trying to mount the switch for my DMH e-cutout. The mounting measurements are 3/4" x 1/2". How do I cut a tiny rectangle shape like this? The only option I think I have is to drill a hole, then use a jigsaw. I don't have any small rotary tools of any sort. Am I missing something here?

Dremmels are awesome for situations like this, you may want to invest in one. A jigsaw may work, but can also look poor when finished, IMO.

I drilled 4 holes in the in the shape of the switches dimenisions, but smaller. Then I used the drill as a jigsaw then carefully and slowly "connected the dots" I then used a small file to even out the edges, and then filed bit by bit until the switch would just fit in. Im happy with the way it came out.

Invest in a dremmel - you'll likely find many uses for it once you have it.
I did.

A person can't have too many tools anyhow........
