this should help anyone who wanted to install motor and tranny together from the top with a cherry picker / engine hoist

motor and tranny installed in 1 shot.

took about 2 hours

 

haha what took you 2 hours would take me like half a year. Ive never done that, but it definatly doesnt look easy.

 

That looks scary. I did just the engine and had to twist and turn it to get it in. Looks good.

 

I see we both need a good vaccuming.

I've always imagined it would be easier from the top rather than messing with the front suspension.

 

If ya balance the engine with the chain then put a 2" wide ratchet strap from the front of the engine to the hook to tilt it with it works pretty good.
Make the chain 90* across the engine and ya can hook in the exhaust bolt holes, with a piece of cut plywood as a cushion for the chain on the head.
