Motor mount install
Motor mount install
Hey everyone, I am in the process of installing my Pacesetter long tubes right now and I want to throw in Prothane motor mounts as well. Does anyone have a link or something with a write up outlining the steps involved as well as safety techniques, ect. Any help is greatly appreciated as always.
Re: Motor mount install
I replaced mine not too long ago.
I have LT headers, and only had to remove the starter to get the passenger side mount out.
On the driver's side, I had to disconnect the header from the head and y-pipe and move it out of the way as one of the primary tubes was too close to one of the block side bolts for the motor mount. Once that was out of the way, it was smooth sailing.
I can't imagine trying to do it with stock manifolds, but I'd assume they would have to come out the front.

Re: Motor mount install
Awesome, thanks for the replies, like I said, I am in the middle of my header install so the mounts are pretty accessible right now. Hopefully everything will keep going smoothly.
