Motor mount Bolt and Bracket Bolt

Motor mount Bolt and Bracket Bolt
The driver's side motor mount bolt has another mounting bracket bolt lined up perpendicular to and right in front of it, leaving little to no room to put socket on. Did you guys have to remove that one perpendicular bracket bolt first?

It's one of those things when each is in the way of the other, no matter what sequence you use. If you tilt the rear of the engine down (lower the back of the tranny), the bolt going into the block will be out of the way of the motor mount through bolt. The motor mount should flex enough to make this work.

I'm just glad people actually new what bolts I was talking about. Well, i don't really want to go thru removing tranny stuff again to drop the tail. I think I'll try removing the bracket bolt first, then the motor mount bolt. Correct me if this is not possible.
Thanks

The bolt that goes into the block that interferes with the motor mount through bolt is a bolt for the motor mount bracket (if I remember correctly). IMO, that bolt should not be left out. You will just have to play with it and see what you can do.

My engine never fell out, so it must be ok, right?
I definitely wouldn't recommend leaving any bolts out though. Be careful...
A motorplate solves this problem.

96 Speed, I was told as well, to leave the top 2 bellhousing bolts off. Even thought I didn't do that, I know that the shop that worked on it b4 me apparently left a bottom bhousing bolt out.
Thanks for the help guys. Wish me luck tomorrow.

I'm not a big fan of leaving any bolt out of an engine/tranny combo. I figure that the parts were put there for a reason and should be kept there. Like was said previously, pull up on the engine with a Picker, and you should be gravy.
