Are you saying they didn't balance the rotating assembly? If you had the wieght of each piston that would determine if I tore it down or not. The farther the parts get from the rotation the more critical balancing is. Hence the pistons are farthest away.

if the pistons were the same as the old ones... i would have been fine. i gave them everything labed in order just for this reason.

i wasnt planing on a internal balenced motor, i was gonna have them weigh the stock pistons and match them up. but now that too late.

Man, that suxs. I would weight all your stock pistons and compare them. If a couple of them are way off, you may have problems. This is assuming that the new pistons are of better quality standards and are all pretty equal. At least thats something that you can look at first.

Didn't they mention it??? I don't understand how a machine shop could not do it and charge you for it. Makes no sense. Usually they will tell you.."you need to do this...and that" I usually think.."sure I do" Figure they just adding in extra costs. I don't get that one at all.

they didnt say a thing about it when i picked it up, they acted like they did everything i told them. they didnt charge me

but i told him ... it was on the order sheet( not recipt) that i wanted it done.

i figure speed pro will be preety close to each other, all the machine shops ar saying to go with it
aswhere all the proformance shops that dont do the machining are saying balence it.

i dont care for internal balence, not on this motor.

I dunno buddy. Me I'd balance everything. Aint worth the risk. The other day I was porting my head and the sandpaper roll was a lil off balance. When I gased it the sandpaper flew off and it had bent the mandrel to a 90 degree angle. Just becuase it was a lil off balance. .
