the 224/230 is a good midrange cam but for max hp the 847 or 306 will win this battle. I think the 847 on ported heads is best. But my .02 is just that .02 dont take it to the bank because it will bounce.

What do you want? HP or track times. In a 350, an 847 would prolly be too much cam. It screams at upper RPMs, but wont do as well at the track as a slightly smaller cam unless you go with a BIG stall.
The cc306 is a proven cam. I had it in my old 350 and it would scream to 6800 rpm. On the highway, that cam was unstoppable. Never took it to the track though.

Custom grind. It won't take long and the cost difference will be minimal. The results, however, will be what you're looking for vice something close to what you're looking for. Check with SStrokerAce..
