Re: More Horsepower
Are you looking for 400-450HP at the flywheel or at the rear wheels?
What is your budget? Does your car have a manual or automatic transmission? If automatic, do you have 2.73 or 3.23 rear gears? |
Re: More Horsepower
Jay, read, read, and read some more... search everything you can think of, and listen to Fred. You have much to learn young padiwan...

Re: More Horsepower
Rear Wheels. I Don't have Budget yet. i'm trying to raise the funds that i need to accomplish this.
the car is Auto for now. its not 2.73 for sure is 3.?? Depending on Labor cost i would want a T56. |
Re: More Horsepower
since ur asking ball park for horsepower... 400hp=bout 5g's...

Re: More Horsepower
The estimate of $5000 mentioned is pretty accurate.
EDIT: If you're doing a T56 swap in addition to that 400HP that's going to raise your budget closer to $6000. |

Re: More Horsepower
Nitrous..... ~600 bucks kit will get you 400whp on a fairly stock LT1, just do typical exhaust mods and let it eat for cheap :)
easy to install too |
Re: More Horsepower
Yeah i'm liking the Heads/Cams Options.
price difference of 355 , 383?? What parts do i need to start Buying?? |
Re: More Horsepower
If u go the heads and cam route id go with AI "advanced induction" there proven. like stated prob cost 2000 more if u rebuild. If u go 355 u need to buy good pistons machine shop can take care of everything from there. 383 u have to get stroker kit and machine can take over from there.
