Cool

Actually the white dryer hose works pretty well, but only on the outside of the filter, not from the filter to the bellows.A better flex tube can be had a Pep Boys, part #96007,called mighty flow air duct hose.Actually abetter filter can be had from any Kragen auto parts store or rice store, looks the same size as a K&N,but has a filter at the bottom of it as well(more air flow).about $29.00 or so.Just duct tape(use the $9.00 duct tape as it is really sticky),to the bottom of the filter, and you may be impressed I dunno.Gotta clean it more often though ,as you can suck up a lot of dirt fast.I don't understand why anybody would come down on anyone here for a new idea,as this is a help board.Hope this helps.
Imagination+trial and error=results,sometimes good,and sometimes not.But you won't know till you try.My02

My .02$. I cut a big hole out of my bottom panel, directly below my K & N. Then attached a stainless screen over the hole to keep large stuff out. I noticed no HP gain or "feel", however, I now here the rush of air going into the filter-elbow-TB when I mash the gas. I know it's now getting more air. Enough air? I doubt it, but more. Tried the dryer vent "scoop" but my damned car sits too low. In the process of fabbing a low profile bent aluminum piece to bolt onto the bottom.
The idea about the dryer hose ABOVE the plastic piece directing air directly to the filter is a good idea. Would like to hear more on this.
