I've never heard anything bad about them, but you probably don't need to spend the money. 58mm should get the job done.

A monoblade is plenty driveable. It is a mechanical part and will fail eventually. However, any throttle body shares that description.

What problems have you seen?

Re: is monoblade reliable?

There are two reasons not to get a monoblade from what I've seen.

1. Blower cars tend to push them open at idle

2. The IAC no longer travels through the passages and typically can lead to split BLM's

That being said, there is a monoblade on my car. I don't ever plan to supercharge it and I have gotten the low rpm tuning done so the BLM's are good enough for my tastes. If you are going with a high rpm 383 or bigger, its almost necessary to go bigger than a 52mm unit.

i have heard something like the spring broken and the blade not moving? i forgot but i seen a couple problems people posted about it, and someone did a mod for it. but jw will 58mm be enough to handle about 1000rwhp for a turbo car or no
