Monoblade with an LE2??

Monoblade with an LE2??

I have the opertunity to purhcase ASM monoblade TB. My question is, is anyone running a monoblade on a stock bottom end LE2 h/c car? My guess is it's a little overkill. I'm currently running a 52mm BBK that I ported and polished slighlty.

There is such considerable work in making it fit the intake that I wouldnt ever consider buying one. Plus you have to cut out the main IAC port on the intake which could result in poor idle quality. They sure look nice though.

Thanks for the input, I have a buddy who knows how to fix the iac problem and My intake is already cutout for a monoblade. I did it when I ported the intake. My only concern if it's not necessary or overkill to where I'd end up loosing power.

u would get a better throttle reponse but it all depends on the cam size u go with in terms of power loss.....

I got one (yes, overkill, but I got a good deal on it) with an LE2(ish) cam. My intake was ported by Bret (BRE) and I've got no problems.

Would you not recommend it then. or is it no big deal?

It's no big deal, driveability is fine, but I think you don't really "need" one (over a 52mm) until you've got a high rpm stroker motor.
