Re: mods. help mileage

anything that makes the engine breath more efficiently

i installed a low restriction air intake on my gf's 4.0L Jeep wrangler and she picked up a consistent 1mpg city and 2mpg highway.

when i installed my magnaflow catback on my LT1 i gained a consistent 1mpg highway.
around town it didnt' change...was on the trottle more to hear the exhaust

hell i still get 25mpg highway on my 400rwhp cammed LS1

Some things to consider:
  • Good tune up including O2 sensors.
  • You could go with a custom tune; GM enriched more is on the rich side.
  • Proper tire pressure.

Re: mods. help mileage

After doing all of the following in one lump sum, I noticed a drastic improvement in fuel economy:
-long tube headers
-off road y-pipe
-3" catback
-new plugs,wires,02 sensors, and fuel filter
