Mods!!!!!!!

I have a few ideas about beginning mods. (I posted abuot this about a week ago, but didnt get very many replies)

What would yall suggest my first few mods be??

Stay within the $2000 dollar rang.

I dont want a stall just yet........i am going to buy a built transmission later and have a decent size stall put in it then.

KEEP in mind this is a daily driver.

I Want reliable GOOD mods.

Thanks

You said you got a K&N...is that just the filter or a cold air kit? I would go with some headers (longtubes) and Hotcam kit. The Hotcam is a good daily driver and with the kit you get 1.6's and spring also for all under 500 bucks. I would ge the stall anyway and just throw it in. You can put it on the other tranny later. JMHO.

Intake, Hooker Long Tubes, Cut-out, Drag Radials, Subframe connectors, LCA's w/ relocation brackets. And possibly 3:73's....if you install all this your self then the total should be around 1,500 that leaves room for a couple of other things! With a strong car this could put you in the low low 13's possibly high 12's with a good 1.8 60ft!!! Headers are the best mod you could do IMHO!!!

Just a thought to save you a few bucks. You car has a built in rev limiter, so you don't really need the 6al box. A 6a box should work fine.

I would be a little leary of putting a deep tranny pan on a lowered car.
I have a B&M cast deep tranny pan waiting for installation and its going to be close on whether it stays on or not because of clearance issues and my car is not lowered.

Does the corsa cat-back flow pretty well? I don't know if you would see any gains by putting a cut-out on that cat-back. Also I would save the money on the electric cutout and use it for something else. Just don't forget all the other small things that go along with all the mods you are planning on doing, like headers gaskets, new o2 sensors, o2 sensor wire extenders, etc. IMHO I would just go with intake, exhaust, suspension. I would worry about the ignition, besides the wires and plugs. A new coil and a box won't give that much of a gain. Keep the maf you have also, save yourself some money and don't buy the maf ends, your stock maf will work the best.

What I would personally do:

Exhaust:
Jet-hot long tubes
Hooker Y-pipe no cats
Stock catback (keep stock catback since you have a cutout)
Cut-out
Slp dual dual polished tips (i like them better than the corsa ones.......the corsa ones are too big and flashy for me)

Intake:
K&N filter package
1LE intake elbow

Ignition:
either 8mm taylor wires or 8.5mm MSD wires
over the valve cover wiring kit for the wires
NGK Iridium TR55IX Spark Plugs

Electronics:
manual fan switch (you can build one for under 10 bucks)
160 degree thermostat
electric cut-out

Suspension:
BMR boxed subframe connectors
BMR LCA's and brackets
Bilstein shocks (dont know which kind yet)
lowering springs (dont know which kind or how low yet)

Other:
B&M tranny cooler

Good luck
