Missfire

My car has been throwing a random missfire code for awhile now....and I havent been able to figure it out. I just noticed 2night that my 02 sensor extension cable connector looks a little bit toasted from my passenger side header....and my car is running so rich from lack of a tune it looks possible I could need new 02's also. I have Taylor OTVC wires on my car and have also thought this to be the problem. I just recently bought some MDS wires to replace these and rought around the headers. I have changed out the plugs about 3-4 times since my header install so I know its not that. Also any suggestions on how to put in the MDS so they dont burn on the headers...and also should i buy wire protectors to keep the heat off them???

Re: Missfire

I put mine back where the stock ones were. Just make sure you tie strap them so they won't burn and you'll be fine.

Re: Missfire

The reason for your miss is most probably the opti. I had the same problem with mine which was the original with 25K miles. When I pulled the opti. found the rotor broken and some terminals corroded.

Re: Missfire

I know for a fact that it is not the opti as it was just replaced less then 1.5k miles ago. Im pretty sure its a wire or an 02 sensor.
