Re: miss fire

Lol, yes I was hoping that wasn't too much of a hijack. :P But yeah, we both learned something here. Let us know what happens. I had the exact same symptoms as you, the only difference was mine was just a loose injector connection the entire time. :-/

Re: miss fire

Ha its ok for the hijack..... So I put the fuel regulator on and checked the fuel pressure again. Nothing changed except the fuel pressure was reading around 38lbs which I know is low so I'll replace the pump when I get time.... The problem wasn't with the fuel though... When I changed the plugs and wires I put the plug wires back on the same port that they came off of. I didn't look at the little number beside them, and that was where my problem was. On the driver side 3 of them were on the wrong plug, and apparently I didn't plug the top one on the passenger side in good. I replaced those 4 plugs, and put them in the correct port on the opti, and now the thing runs like a raped ape. Sorry that my problem was something that was so stupid like that. Guess I couldn't see the forest for all the tree's...... Anyway thought I'd post about my stupidity, and say beware of past mechanics. Thanks for all the help guys.

Just had another quick question.... My spedo is off and I know the rearend has been changed out of the car.... I just bought a rearend out of a 1993 firebird gt (I think), it was an LT1 automatic......Just curious if anyone knows the specs on that rearend.....Gear ratio? Positive traction? I think its a 3.23 pos but have no idea....
