misfiring

I have been fighting this car for a week now, hopefully someone can help out here.

I did heads, cam and exhaust, after we finished, the car fired right up and ran great. The only problem i was having was low fuel pressure (22lbs) The car was running lean, but not badly so. I am now wondering if it was because i went to 30# injectors. I drove the car 240 miles home, without any problems.
Once home, I replaced the fuel pump and had my 42lbs of pressure. Car seemed to run ok. After driving about 60 miles, the engine started to miss. I found 2 burnt plug wires, but I had to go back home(60 miles) to get new wires. After replacing the wires, the miss was still there, and got worse. The car wouldn't even start. Pulled the plugs and they were black. I replaced all the plugs, turned the fuel pressure down to 38lbs(as far as the regulator will let me) and fired the car up. idle was back to normal.

Now my issue is low rpm. Car misses like crazy at low rpm, and gets worse quickly. If I gun it out of the whole, it runs like a madman. I am assuming I have too much fuel, but I can't turn it down anymore to find out. Anyone have any input?
