Well, it was my first run in with an LS1 since I have had any gears other than my 2.73s...

He flew past me on the interstate at about 75 while I was doing 60 or so, so I hopped it up, pulled up beside him. We dropped to about 70... I slipped it in third, pushed in the clutch, and waited for him to jump as I nodded.

He jumped, I slammed the gas and dropped the clutch... He had about 1/4 car right off the bat. We raced to about 120, and I pulled about 1 length on him...

It was beautiful...

Dont take this as me bashing you , but Based on what was said, and your mod list in the Sig. Im going to say that he was an A4 guy ... who would run mid to high 13's. Its impressive by all means, im suprised the lead you got was that good, i thought it would be neck and neck based on mods ... Id also assume that your pretty decent at shifting quick lol ... Good Kill ...

Still, an LS1 nonetheless

 

I have to hunt the elusive modded LS1 now, the stock ones are no fun anymore.

HEHE - Actually... when I bought the car I had 4.10s. Then I broke the rear end. I bought a whole rear-end aseembly from a junkyard. I only had the money to buy a junked one at the time, and the only one avaiable has 2.73s. I didnt want to get it, but I didnt have much of a choice at the time. So I rode with the crappiest setup on my camaro ever for a while.

Now I have 3.73s, and I like em okay, but I miss my 4.10s, they were alot more fun for my SOTP.

 

I say you got lucky. But a win is a win. Your lucky if your trapping 101mph if that. And thats giving you some edge. Maybe they didnt downshift and just kept it in 4th. Nice run nonetheless.
