Misfires up top. please help

Car misfiring ?
Ok when i am running my car up in the 4500-6200 range, i start to get a little surge due to a misfire. I have a new opti so i highly doubt that that is the problem. My maf sensor is messed up so that may cause soemthing but not a misfire. But i do have all 8mm wires except on one cylinder due to it getting burnt, i had to put a stocker on it for the time being. now could it be that wire isnt able to keep up with the spark, or could it be a coil related issue?

a few things

1. i forgot what stock wires are- but make sure its not grounding, cross firing or doing anything stupid.

2. a mass air can cause BIG problems. Mine wont even IDLE with my skrewed up MAF.

3. replace the coil and coil wire

doesn't sound like an opti to me anyway-

ohh yea, doubtfut but makes sure your are tuned

I have the exact same problem, and I also changed my opti a few days ago. The opti (and new lifters) fixed the bottom end stumble and tick, as well as part throttle responce, but my top end miss is still there. I am thinking possibly the knock sensor, false knock reading or whatever. The miss, however, is not as bad as it was. Next, I am going to try to dissalbe the Knock Sensor and see what happends. Keep me posted, I would like to get to the bottom of this crap. I am sick of it, plus if I want to spray, I can't until I resolve this miss problem.

Upper RPM misses are usually coil or coil related....

3 different coils and 3 different coil wires, no change
