Angry misfire, optispark?

first time user so please bear with me. i have a 97 1-le 6-spd thought i was having vibration problems. in neutral @ 1800-2000 there seems to be a vibration, also around 3000 but it gets worse coming down thru rpms like around 2800. you can have someone hold rpms in these ranges and watch the engine shake at the above mentined rpms. it is rpm related, it does the same in neutral, cltch in or thru the gears running. car runs strong, ive changed plugs and wires , checked balancer, changed clutch, pilot bearing, checked flywheel bolts, checked motor mounts, tranny mount, exhuast hangers, ran car without belt to eleminate accessories. can the optispark do this?thanx for any input

damn...I guess it could, but I would think that the ecm would be throwing a code(misfire code). possibly a P0300.

I'm having the same problem you're having, except I just put in a new opti plugs and wires, so i'm scratching my head on this one, can't seem to pinpoint it
