Misfire
Misfire
my car started acting about two days ago. At first it felt like a small stumble
but now its more like a misfire.
i ran the codes and one of them is 02 high voltage on the passenger
side
but last i got on the gas hard and when i let off the throttle it stuck at 2200 rpm
so could this be a problem with the TPS
i have jethot longtubes on the car and i spliced the o2 last year
any help would be great thanks

Re: Misfire
You should state what year etc you have. We will assume you have OBDI and therefore only have 2 O2s.
Start with what you know. You know you have an O2 fault and you spliced it which is not a good idea depending on where you did it. Look to the splice and also inspect the entire length of the wiring. If you spliced the wires between the O2 and it's connector, get another O2. If you did the splice between the connector and the PCM, you can get away with just fixing the splice a little better. Clear the code and if it returns, try swapping the O2,s side to side. Once that problem is repaired, look into anything else that shows up.
