Milled Head Whats My Compression Now?

Hello Everyone

I'm currently rebuilding my LT1 and ported and polished the heads and milled them 1/2 a mm .020 thou
Can someone tell me what my static compression ratio now?

Thanks in advance.

Can't really...you've changed the volume of the combustion chamber with the head work. CC the chambers and give us the new volume and we can calculate it out...

I have only taken out about 1cc out of the chambers. I'm pretty sure I still would have an increase in compression.

Re: Milled Head Whats My Compression Now?

It'll be more accurate if you cc the heads but:
0.02" is worth about 4cc
If the chamber is normal size that would yield - 10.9 to 1 cr
If you removed 1cc that would yield 10.8 to 1 cr
Stock is 10.4 to 1 cr

I hope this helps....
